The Keukenhof meaning the  Kitchen garden, is referred to by many as the Garden of Europe. It is the world's largest flower garden. According to the official website more than seven million flower bulbs are planted annually The parkcovers an area of approximately 32 hectares.

It is is visited by people from all over the world who come to experience the "ultimate spring feeling".  It is sone of Holland's most popular attractions for the last 60 years.
Keukenhof is located in a small town called Lisse, about half an hour from Amsterdam.  The park itself is surrounded by fields of flowers which are at their best during the last two weeks of April (depending on the weather)

Keukenhof is open annually from the last week in March to mid-May. The best time to view the tulips is around mid-April, all depending on the weather.

22 March to 20 May 2012 open from 8.00 a.m. to 19.30 p.m. daily (ticket office closes at 18.00 p.m.).  Including all Sundays and public holidays.
